Conditioned media (CM) from RV1b infected BEAS-2B cells significantly stimulated the proliferation of quiescent human lung fibroblasts as compared to CM of epithelial cells exposed to HeLa lysate (control). This stimulation was partially suppressed following preincubation of conditioned media with an anti-bFGF neutralizing antibody (Ab).
